Welcome to Twangville USA Home of Chris & Kim Reynolds' Cyber Saloon Well, in case you didn't already know, we are in the final phase of adopting a little girl from China. Her Chinese name is Chan Wen Yun. We will call her Kate. Kathryn Li Reynolds. She just turned 3 years old October 1, 2010. She is awesome. I truly believe we are the luckiest people on earth. If you want to follow our journey, just click here.
So I was coming home a while back & I thought I saw a deer head sticking up next to the road about a mile from our house. I turned around to investigate & sure enough....deer. I parked & the deer and I had a little chat. He was very calm. At times he would rest his head in my hand and nuzzle my neck. I sat there and just talked softly to him for about 10 - 15 minutes. I rubbed his head and neck and checked for any injuries. I couldn't find anything. He wasn't tender on his belly, legs, hind-end, etc. It was pretty surreal. Since he was so close to the road I (insanely) decided to take him home.....In the back seat of my Explorer. I know, really bad idea, but I am sure that if I would have left him there he would be dead now. So after a few tries I was able to get him into the vehicle. He wasn't very happy about it but he calmed down pretty quick. I was sure he was going to kick out my rear window (or my teeth). It was the longest mile I have ever driven. Once safely home, he clumsily got out of the car & just hung out next to me in the front yard. He never tried to run away or even shy away from me. He would lean against me almost like he was waiting for instructions. I guided him under our deck and he laid down in some pine straw. I grabbed one of our big dog blankets & wrapped him up. He was out in about 2 minutes. I checked on him a few times before we went to sleep & he never even flinched. He was out cold. When we woke up the next day he was gone.
My birdhouse guitar amp I built for the W.O. Smith Charity Auction. The girl who won it was a big EVH fan. The amp sounds pretty good!

Kimi's Korner Howdy Folks. My girl got to meet one of her idols . She said Crystal Gayle is one of the nicest people she has ever met.
Kimi also had lunch with Alan Alda . She said he is a really nice & funny guy.
I want everyone to check out www.tigerhaven.org. These people permanently house and care for 200 abandoned and abused "big cats" in east Tennessee. It costs $30,000 each month just to feed them- plus electricity, building costs and legal fees to keep it open. Amazing photos of their new home- you can "adopt" a cat for $50 or just send 20 bucks to cover a tiger's lunch. Here is Calvin. We just adopted him. Calvin arrived at Tiger Haven January 23rd 2003. He was retired from the circus, where he had protected his trainer from misbehaving Tigers.
